Norwich City have announced the signing of Steven Whittaker on a free transfer. The Scotland international’s move is subject to international clearance and if all goes well, he will become new Canaries boss Chris Houghton’s first signing of the summer window. Whittaker has put pen to paper a four year contract at Carrow Road.
The versatile Whittaker, who can play anywhere across the backline and also in midfield, joined the Gers from Hibernian in 2007 and has been an important player for them over the last five seasons. He has also been capped by Scotland at international level.
In other Rangers news, Swiss club Sion announced the signing of Whittaker’s Rangers team mate Kyle Lafferty.
