Glasgow Celtic have confirmed that Danish striker Morten Rasmussen has moved to Turkish outfit Sivasspor on loan. Rasmussen will therefore ply his trade in the Turkish Super Lig till the end of the 2011/2012 season. As we had reported yesterday, the Dane was linked with Middlesbrough as well as MLS outfit Portland Timbers and Russian Premier League side Tom Tomsk but chose to move to Turkey.
Sivasspor finished 15th in the Turkish league last season and will play Karabukspor away from home this weekend. Rasmussen is in line to make his debut against Karabukspor.
Rasmussen spent last season on loan at Mainz and Aalborg and last made a competitive appearance for Celtic in May 2010 against Heart of Midlothian.
