Liverpool born Rhyl winger Luke Holden has been snapped up by Charlton Athletic on a four month loan deal. The Addicks could also negotiate a permanent transfer fee in December with Rhyl should Holden impress in his spell at the Valley.
The 20 year old started his stint in Wales with TNS, and had spells with Cammel Laird and Bradford Park Avenue before moving to Rhyl in January 2009. He was instrumental in helping Rhyl clinch the Welsh Premier League title.
Charlton boss Phil Parkinson said that he had been watching Holden for a while, and had been impressed by his performance in a reserve friendly against Crystal Palace. Parkinson said that he hoped Holden would make a mark for himself in the coming four months at the Valley.
