Colchester United have completed the signing of Republic of Ireland midfielder John-Joe O’Toole on loan from Championship outfit Watford. O’Toole has joined the U’s on a six month loan, and will be at the Essex side till the start of January.
O’Toole is thus re-united with former Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd, who was recently appointed Colchester’s new manager.
O’Toole could make his Colchester United debut against Southampton.
O’Toole has not made a single appearance for Watford in the 2009-10 Championship season. He also had a short spell on loan at Sheffield United last season.
