Homesick Mexican defender Carlos Salcido has left Fulham to join Tigres on a season long loan. The 31 year old, who moved to Craven Cottage only last season from PSV Eindhoven, was unsettled by a recent robbery at his house that resulted in his family leaving the country, and manager Martin Jol agreed to grant his wishes by sanctioning a loan move to Tigres, who play in the Mexican Primera division.
Salcido is a regular with the Mexican national team and has racked up nearly 100 caps for El Tri. He was part of their squad at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups as well as the recently concluded 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Salcido made a total of 26 appearances for Fulham last season.
