According to reports emerging from Italy and Spain, Manchester City could lose two defenders this summer, with Danilo and Nicolas Otamendi both exploring options abroad.
Right back Danilo, frustrated with the lack of regular football at the Etihad, has reportedly even agreed personal terms with Inter Milan, but the Nerazzurri are yet to negotiate a transfer fee with Pep Guardiola’s men.
With Kyle Walker being Guardiola’s first choice right-back, Danilo has been restricted to just ten Premier League appearances this season. City are apparently looking for a fee around the 20-25 million euro mark, and will not stand in the Brazilian’s way should he decide to leave.
The other potential departure is the form of Nicolas Otamendi, with Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone keen to bring his compatriot to the Wanda Metropolitano. Simeone is looking for a replacement for Diego Godin, and has earmarked Otamendi to fill the Uruguayan’s boots.
Otamendi is no stranger to playing in Spain, having previously plied his trade there with Valencia. He is however contracted to City till 2022, but according to Spanish papers, Atleti have already had discussions with his agent Jorge Mendes over a potential switch.
