Coventry striker Marlon King has completed a controversial free transfer to fellow Championship side Birmingham City by penning a three year contract with the Midlands club. The Sky Blues reportedly had a verbal assurance from King that he would pen a new deal and are said to be outraged after he went back on his word and opted to sign for rivals Birmingham City. King on his part has said that he had done nothing wrong as Coventry did not come back to him with a firm offer on the table and kept him hanging in the dark.
Birmingham were relegated from the Premier League in the 10/11 season and will be hoping that King, who enjoyed a fairly good season with Coventry in the Championship, can help them make an immediate return to the top tier of English football.
