Rio Ferdinand has signed for QPR as a free agent from Manchester United. He joined Manchester United in a £30m deal back in 2002 and has spent 12 years at Old Trafford, playing 455 games for the Premier League club. Here is a list of soccer games today from the Premier League.
35-year-old Ferdinand has signed a one-year deal at QPR after agreeing terms with the club earlier this week. Ferdinand, will now team up with manager Harry Redknapp who previously managed him at West Ham and Redknapp is delighted to have Ferdinand at the club, Redknapp said – “To bring him to QPR is a remarkable coup for the club.”
Ferdinand is also pleased to be at QPR he said – “I had a lot of offers from all over the world but the draw for me was to play in the Premier League,”
He also said – “I still feel I’ve got something to offer and I’m excited about helping this club cement its place in the Premier League.”
