Two Brazilians are celebrating conflicting emotions at the moment, as ex-Arsenal midfielder Denilson sealed a return to his homeland with Sao Paulo and Andre Santos returns to the Emirates Stadium after a loan spell with Gremio.
Denilson has spent the last two seasons at Sao Paulo and has now joined on a permanent basis, after Arsenal released the 25-year-old from his contract earlier this summer. The midfielder never quite fulfilled his potential in north London, but did manage 153 appearances for the Gunners.
Denilson turned down other offers from clubs in his homeland to complete his permanent move to Sao Paulo.
Fellow Brazilian Andre Santos has returned to Arsenal, after a loan spell at Gremio in his homeland. The former-Fenerbache ace is desperate to leave the Gunners, but a permanent move to Gremio has not materialised and he has had to return to the Gunners.
However, Santos is likely to move on again this summer, whether that be on-loan or on a permanent basis. The 30-year-old failed to impress at Arsenal after moving to the Emirates from Turkish side Fenerbache in 2011. No doubt, Arsenal would be more than happy to part company with the underachieving Brazilian this summer.
