Championship side Derby County are interested in signing ADO Den Haag full-back Danny Buijs. County have been tracking the Dutchman all season and could make a summer move for the former-Feyenoord star.
Derby manager Nigel Clough has even been to Holland to watch the star personally. Derby have former-Dutch star Johnny Metgod on their coaching staff and he admits that Buijs would be a very versatile signing.
Metgod revealed: “I worked with him at Feyenoord. He can play right-back or in a 4-4-2 he can even push on into midfield,” County boss Clough will want to strengthen his squad in the summer in a bid to challenge for promotion next season.
Meanwhile Middlesbrough striker Chris Killen is attracting the interest of some top Championship clubs. High-fliers West Brom and Nottingham Forest are believed to be tracking the 28 year-old. The New Zealand international only joined Boro in January but he only signed a six-month contract.
With his contract expiring in the summer there is now speculation that he could leave the Riverside Stadium for nothing. Boro have yet to offer Killen a new contract but the striker wouldn’t be short of options come the summer.
