Premier League Everton are set to complete the signing of FC Twente midfielder Leroy Fer for a fee in the region of £8million. The 23 year-old Holland international is due on Merseyside to discuss personal terms and complete the move.
Fer is highly-rated after coming through the renowned youth academy at Dutch giants Feyenoord, before moving onto to FC Twente, where he has scored ten goals in 29 appearances. The young midfielder is known to be a tough tackling central midfielder, who has the nickname ‘the bouncer’ from his younger days in Rotterdam.
The Toffee’s are also being linked with a loan move for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent. The England international has fallen out of favour at Villa Park and looks set to leave the in the near future. Everton are looking to bring in a new striker with regular front man Nikica Jelavic currently going through a lean spell in front of goal.
