Premier League Everton are looking to resign former-defender Joleon Lescott on loan in the January transfer window. The England international left the Toffees to join Manchester City for £23million in 2009, under something of a cloud.
However, Everton boss David Moyes believes he may be able to bring the defender back to Goodison Park this January. Lescott has fallen out of favour at the Etihad Stadium, because of the form of Serbian youngster Matija Nastasic.
It also looks like City boss Roberto Mancini is looking to bring in a new centre-back in January, with the Citizens being linked with Newcastle’s Fabricio Coloccini and Liverpool’s Daniel Agger.
Everton centre-back Johnny Heitinga has also been linked with a move away from Goodison in January, so Lescott would most likely be a replacement for the Holland international. It remains to be seen if Manchester City would allow Lescott to leave on loan though.
