Nicolas Anelka has followed his Shanghai team mate Didier Drogba back into Europe after Italian champions Juventus revealed that they had signed the well travelled 33 year old forward on a six month contract. Drogba left Shanghai Shenhua only a few days ago to join Galatasaray on an eighteen month deal and now Anelka has also opted for a return to Europe which could see the two former Chelsea mates square off against each other in the Champions League if Juve and Gala meet in the latter stages.
Anelka has initially put pen to paper a six month deal with an option of a year’s extension.
This is Anelka’s first stint at Italy having previously played at Arsenal, Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool, Fenerbahce and Bolton apart from Shanghai and Chelsea.
