Manchester United is in the process of changing their team roster and there are many teams wanting to change theirs also with the player that is leaving Manchester United. The highly publicised change is the 21 year old Federico Macheda who was born in Rome, Italy and is a striker for the English club, Manchester United. There are several teams wanting to sign Macheda on their team, as Macheda’s current contract ends in June, 2014. His manager states at that time he will leave Manchester United on loan with the option to buy.
Federico was sixteen when he began to play football for Manchester United. He was seventeen when he became a professional football player. He made his first score as a professional at nineteen years old. Now at age 21 he is being highly sought to sign with several different football teams.
Macheda joined Manchester United in 2008. He played a memorable role in Manchester United 2008 – 2009 Premier League title winning season. He scored an injury time win against Witton, Birmingham – Aston Villa football club.
The young Italian striker’s representative states that his client is “liked by a lot of clubs” and his career goal at the present time is to leave on loan from Manchester United, with the option to buy, when his contract expires in June, 2014. This is not the first time Mancheda has been on loan. He has been on two separate loan spells during his professional career – one to Sampdoria and and the other to QPR. There should be no impact on Man United tickets sales due to him not being a regular player at Manchester United.
Stuttgart is the sixth largest city in Germany. The negotiations for Macheda appears to have Stuttgart football team in the lead regarding the negotiations’ process and according to Federico’s agent Stuttgart is in “advanced talks” to sign Macheda. Giovanni Bia the Italian footballer defender, appears to feel the same in regard to negotiations. Bia told TMW; “We are at an advanced point with Stuttgart. The negotiations are going well.”
Serie A and La Liga also have indicated that they are interested in Macheda. There have been reports that there are also two Spanish Teams that have shown interest in signing Macheda. Macheda popularity among Italians has Italian teams from Sienna to Bologna along with others wanting him to part of their team when his contract expires.
The talk is that Sir Alex Ferguson, who is a former player and who has managed Manchester United, since 1986, appears to want to send Macheda to a foreign side outside of the peninsula.
It appears that Stuttgart is in the lead in the negotiations to have Macheda as a member of their team when his contract with Manchester United ends.
It should not be long before the decision is made and everyone will know what team Federico Macheda has transferred to. The team that will have him as their player will be the envy of the other teams that lost in the negotiations process.
