New Watford manager Gianfranco Zola has made seven new signings, including that of former Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia. The Spanish keeper and his former Arsenal team mate Fitz Hall have both been snapped up on one year contracts while five other players have arrived at Vicarage Road on a season long loan deal.
Three of the five players- Almen Abdi, Matej Vydra, Steve Leo Beleck have come from Italian outfit Udinese while the other two- Daniel Pudil and Ikechi Anya, have been signed from Granada.
Watford’s new owner Giampaolo Pozzo, has a stake in both Udinese and Granada, a factor that smoothened the acquisitions for former Chelsea star Zola.
