Christian Eriksen could be moving back to England, with a possible swap deal involving Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka arranged, according to TalkSport.
It’s not often players make the journey from the red to white half of North London, or vice versa. When such a story materialises, therefore, it is always going to be big news.
Eriksen has had a torrid time with Inter Milan after signing in January and it looks as though the Dane might not even complete a full season with the Italian club.
Inter suffered a humiliating exit in the Champions League – so bad they failed to qualify even for the Europa League as they finished bottom of a group from which they were expected to qualify.
But Eriksen is a proven force in the Premier League having played over 200 times for Arsenal’s rivals, Tottenham Hotspur. He was one of the league’s finest players on his day and with Arsenal desperately lacking a creative spark, it could be a sensible move for both parties. The Arsenal fan base appears to have finally given up on the ill-disciplined Xhaka which will only ease the process.
