Fulop interested in Manchester City move

Sunderland goalkeeper Martin Fulop has revealed that he would interested in a short-term move to Manchester City. City boss Roberto Mancini has lost first choice keeper Shay Given with a dislocated  shoulder and has now asked the Premier League to sign a keeper on an emergency-loan deal.

City are also without second choice keeper Stuart Taylor who is also on the injury-list. England keeper Joe Hart is currently on-loan at Birmingham from City but it remains to be seen if the Blues will allow the keeper to return to his parent club before the end of the season.

Fulop has emerged as the most likely recruit as he’s currently second choice to Craig Gordon at Sunderland and wasn’t even on the bench for the Mackems 1-0 victory at Hull City on Saturday. The move seems to suit all parties involved.

Fulop told Skysports: “I can’t confirm officially any approach because personally I haven’t been contacted by anyone. But if the news is true then I’d go there happily and I would be hungry to play for Manchester City. This is an enormous honour for me that my name has been linked with a club which has such a great history.”
