Former Manchester City defender Javier Garrido could be set for a shock return to England after it emerged that Norwich City were interested in securing his services. The Spanish left back signed for City from childhood club Real Sociedad in 2007 but found it increasingly difficult to secure first team football in his last two season and was eventually shipped off to Lazio, days after City had signed Serbian Alexsandr Kolarov from the same club.
Norwich reportedly want Garrido on loan for the entire duration of the 2012-13 season with an option to buy.
Garrido has been capped by Spain at various youth levels but hasn’t yet earned a senior cap for La Furia Roja.
