According to reports from Germany, Arsenal are said to be very interested in rising Bayern Munich youngster Angelo Stiller. The teenager, primarily a defensive midfielder, is highly rated by the Gunners and the London outfit will be hoping that their record in fast tracking youngsters like Gabriel Martinelli and Matteo Guendouzi will make Stiller seriously consider the Emirates as a potential option.
While Stiller has been capped by Germany at various youth levels, he is yet to make a senior appearance for Bayern’s first team. His contract with the Bavarian giants ends next summer and while he is said to prefer to wait for first team opportunities, the senior set up at the Allianz appears to be a tad too crowded currently.
If Stiller, who turned 19 last month, would prefer to stay in the Bundesliga, there’s reportedly no shortage of interested clubs, with German newspaper Bild reporting that several smaller outfits would be happy to take him in.
Bayern are reportedly open to the option of a sale, but would probably prefer the option of a buy-back clause written into the deal, given the time they’ve invested in the teenager, who has been at the Allianz Arena since 2010.
