Arsenal are being linked with a January move for Paraguayan striker Lucas Barrios, who is currently plying his trade in China with Guangzhou Evergrande. The striker has endured an unhappy time in the Far East and it seems he is now looking for a move back to European football.
Barrios moved to China from German champions Dortmund, but has struggled to settle. Barrios made his name in European football by bursting onto the scene in the Bundesliga with a flurry of goals.
However, he fell out of favour last season and moved to China. Since then he has been linked with other Premier League clubs, such as Liverpool, Fulham and West Ham. Arsenal haven’t been prolific this season and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be looking to strengthen his attacking options.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway has declared that Gunners target Wilfried Zaha is not for sale at any price in the January transfer window.
