According to French Ligue One club Rennes Arsenal are still interested in signing their international midfielder Yann M’Vila. The 22 year-old has been on Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger’s radar for along time and he now needs midfielder reinforcements following the sale of Alex Song to Barcelona.
Arsenal are believed to be close to sealing a deal for Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin, but M’Vila has once again emerged as a viable alternative option. According to Rennes general manager Pierre Dreossi the club will enter negotiations with three clubs this week in an attempt to strike a deal.
M’Vila is highly-rated in his homeland and became a regular for the French international side under former-head coach Laurent Blanc. The young midfielder has been dubbed the ‘new Patrick Vieira’ by certain sections of the French media for his style of play.
