According to reliable news reports, Arsenal are mulling over a bid for Malaga starlet Isco in the summer. The young 20 year has been a standout player for Malaga in the last couple of years, helping the Andalusians to qualify for the last eight of the Champions League this season.
Arsenal already have two former Malaga players on their books in the form of midfielder Santi Cazorla and left back Nacho Monreal. With Malaga in financial trouble and facing sanctions from UEFA, the club will be expected to listen to offers for the talented Isco, who has already been capped by Spain at national level.
The Gunners have also been linked with moves for a goalkeeper next season, with Pepe Reina and Simon Mignolet touted as the most possible successors to Pole Wojciech Szczesny at the Emirates Stadium.
Isco is not expected to come cheap and is valued at somewhere around £30m, but the Gunners are said to be ready to fork out some serious cash after another disappointing, trophyless season for Arsene Wenger’s side that has seen them crash out of all domestic Cups and the Champions League and fighting to finish in the European spots in the Premier League.
