West Ham United have added Brazilian Wellington Paulista to their ranks after signing him from Cruzeiro. Wellington will be the Hammer’s fourth signing of the winter transfer window after Joe Cole, Sean Maguire and Marouane Chamakh. Wellington can play as a centre forward or on both flanks and the Hammers have the option of giving him a three year contract at the end of his loan stint
West Ham have said that they hope Wellington can have a similar impact like other “wildcard” Demba Ba.
Wellington has played for Santos, Botafogo, Cruzeiro and Palmeiras in his native Brazil and has also had a stint in Spain with Alaves.
