West Ham holding midfielder Hayden Mullins has agreed to move to the South Coast, with Portsmouth’s bid of £2m being accepted by the Hammers. Mullins has agreed personal terms with Pompey, and put pen to paper a three and a half year deal at Fratton Park.
Mullins, 29, joined West Ham from Crystal Palace for £800,000 in 2003. He is a versatile player, who is equally at ease in both defence and midfield. His role at Fratton Park would be to fill the hole left by Lassana Diarra’s departure to Real Madrid.
Mullins had made over 200 appearances for the Hammers. He will turn 30 in March.
Portsmouth have also announced the signing of Pele on loan from Portuguese side FC Porto
