Belarusian midfielder Alexander Hleb has ruled out a return to Birmingham City next season.
The former Arsenal star is currently on loan from St. Andrew’s from Barcelona, but has struggled to notch up appearances for the Midlands outfit in a season blighted by injuries.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Hleb said that he would not be returning to Birmingham next season, saying that their method of playing was not exactly “his” style of football. The Belarusian also remarked that he would be delighted to return to Arsenal and would take it up if the chance arose.
Hleb did not feature in the Gunners’ Carling Cup victory over Birmingham City. Apart from Barcelona, Arsenal and Birmingham, he has also previously represented BATE in his native Belarus and VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.
