Queens Park Rangers are close to securing the signature of Nedum Onuoha after they agreed a fee with Manchester City for the defender. The fee was not revealed by either party but is rumoured to be in the £2.5-£3m mark. Onouha, who has struggled for first team football under City gaffer Mancini, is now expected to drive down to London to pass a medical and agree personal terms with QPR.
If the deal goes through, it will re-unite Onuoha with former City boss Mark Hughes, who is currently in charge of QPR. The Hoops have already made two signings in the January transfer window, with Federico Macheda and Taiye Taiwo arriving on loan from European giants Man Utd and AC Milan respectively.
