Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of Chelsea’s Portuguese right back Bosingwa. The former Porto defender moves to Loftus Road on a free transfer, having been deemed surplus to requirements by the Blues at the end of the 2011/12 season. The transfer brings to an end Bosingwa’s stint at the Bridge, having originally joined for £16m four years ago.
He becomes QPR’s eighth signing of the summer as the Hoops aim to rebuild their squad following their narrow escape from relegation last season. Inter, Anzhi and Monaco were amongst some of the other clubs interested in securing his services, but he has opted to stay in London by signing for the R’s.
