Watford have completed the signing of Scotland striker Chris Iwelumo from Championship rivals Burnley FC. The Scotland striker has joined Vicarage Road on a two year contract and is expected to fill the void left by Danny Graham’s departure to newly promoted Premier League outfit Swansea.
Iwelumo has become Watford’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window. He became surplus to requirements at Turf Moor after the arrival of Charlie Austin and Clarets boss Eddie Howe had no problems in letting him go despite the forward having a year left on his contract with the Lancashire outfit.
With Watford opening their 11/12 Championship campaign against Burnley, Clarets fans might well see Iwelumo again on the pitch in less than two and a half weeks’ time at Turf Moor.
