Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has completed his undisclosed move to AC Milan from Real Madrid. Huntelaar has signed a four-year deal at the San Siro. The Dutch international has been linked with Tottenham, Hamburg and Arsenal this summer.
A statement on the clubs official website read: “After passing the medical, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is officially a Milan player,”
“The Dutch striker has signed a contract which ties him to the club until June 30, 2013.
“All Milan gives Huntelaar the warmest possible welcome to the Rossoneri family.
“Klaas is Dutch, as so many of the sweetest memories of the whole Milan story in the past 23 years are Dutch.”
Huntelaar moved to the Bernabeu in the January transfer window for £17million from Ajax, where he had been a prolific goal scorer. However he struggled to hold down a regular starting place in the Spanish capital, but he still managed to score eight goals in 20 appearances.
Striker Huntelaar has fallen down the pecking order with the arrival of French youngster Karim Benzema from Lyon and came close to joining Stuttgart but failed to agree terms with the German side. The signing of the 25 year-old will go someway to subdue the fans unrest at the Rossoneri at the sale of star Brazilian Kaka.
