Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is set to complete a move to Stuttgart with talks at an advanced stage. Dutch international Huntelaar has only been at Real for six months, after arriving from Ajax in the January transfer window.
Huntelaar has also been linked with Manchester United, Tottenham and Marseille. However it appears Stuttgart have now won the race for the star. He scored eight goals in 20 appearances last season in La Liga, but hes now fallen down the pecking order at Real after the arrival of French youngster Karim Benzema from Lyon.
Real’s sporting director Miguel Pardeza told Cadena Ser:“Most of the new signings have come to reinforce the position he plays in,”
“Real Madrid’s negotiations with Stuttgart are in an advanced stage and the best thing for everyone will be to find a solution soon.
“I think the player has been aware of this situation and he’s decided to stay in Madrid a few days to see if it is resolved.
“Huntelaar proved to be a good player at Ajax and he’s been requested by many teams.
“I think it’s important for the player to continue his career. He is young and there is a World Cup coming up.
“I believe that any player who hardly gets a chance to play has to look for the best way out to continue making progress as a professional.”
