Highly rated young midfielder Andrea Poli has moved quickly to deny that he is thinking of moving clubs this summer. The 20 year-old has been linked with moves to the Premier League and La Liga, with Manchester City and Sevilla heavily linked with the talented youngster in recent months.
He has been in superb form in Serie A this season and has attracted interest from all over Europe. However he insists that he is happy with Samp. He told Corriere Mercantile: “At this moment I prefer not to think about this sort of thing. I prefer to live day by day, concentrating on the moment that I am going through.”
Another player to be linked with a move away from Sampdoria is strike ace Gianpaolo Pazzini. The striker has been linked with English giants Chelsea and also Italian champions Inter Milan. Pazzini like Poli is highly rated and expected to move during the summer. However Pazzini is also taking it day by day and is unmoved by transfer talk.
“The transfer market? I live only for the day and think only of Sampdoria,” he said. “With my team-mates, we read the papers and we joke about this or that possible destination. Some are very imaginative.
