Brazilian club Internacional have revealed that they have turned down an offer from Tottenham Hotspur for young striker Leandro Damiao. Damiao, 21, is already a Brazilian international and is the subject of interest of several clubs apart from Spurs across the Atlantic.
Spurs reportedly bid £10.6m for Damiao but Internacional turned down the bid saying that it was too low. According to sources, the Brazilian outfit are resigned to losing Damiao this summer, but want atleast £17m for him.
Spurs signed Sandro from Internacional last year and the Brazilian has played very well in the centre of the park for the London club. Sandro has recommended Damiao to Harry Redknapp and the Spurs gaffer believes that the youngster could be a vital asset for the Londoners.
