Welsh midfielders Jason Koumas and Simon Davies will miss their country’s international friendly against Poland on Wednesday night. Both Davies and Koumas sustained injuries in the Premier League game between Fulham FC and Wigan Athletic on Saturday. Davies hurt his back, while Koumas has developed a problem with his hip.
Welsh manager John Toshack has been hit by a spate of recent withdrawals. Koumas and Davies are the latest additions to a list that already contains Robert Earnshaw, Craig Davies and Craig Morgan.
However Wales fans might get to see exciting youngsters Jack Collison and Aaron Ramsey in action for the senior side on Wednesday night due to the withdrawals of Koumas and Davies.
