Premier League QPR are in negotiations to sign Inter and Brazil keeper Julio Cesar. The 32 year-old looks to be surplus to requirements at the Giuseppe Meazza after his Serie A club signed Samir Handanovic from Udinese.
Julio Cesar was regarded as one of the top keepers in the world just a few years ago, but has made some costly errors in recent seasons that have cost the Nerazzurri. QPR boss Mark Hughes is looking to add another keeper to his squad as competition to number one Robert Green.
Meanwhile, Hoops midfielder Joey Barton has been told that he can leave the club on a free transfer. The former-Newcastle midfielder was linked with a move to French giants Marseille. Barton announced on his Twitter account earlier today that he wouldn’t be moving to Ligue One, but now the move could be resurrected before the transfer window shuts.
