News has surfaced, as per the Daily Star, that Manchester United’s Paul Pogba could be heading back to Turin. The Frenchman’s agent, Mino Raiola, has gone on record saying his player’s time with the club is up and Manchester United may be looking to cash in on him following their early exit from the Champions League.
Pogba has been largely disappointing for Manchester United since signing for a then-world record fee in 2016. He was part of the side that won the League Cup and Europa League in the 16-17 campaign but beyond that, there has been little success.
A deal might suit both sides then, with both United and Pogba seemingly happy to part ways. According to reports, United have already rejected a swap deal from Juventus in the summer window which would have seen Mralem Pjanic and Douglas Costa heading to Old Trafford.
Both of those players have now moved elsewhere, with Costa signing for Bayern Munich while Pjanic ended up with Barcelona. With that deal off the table, how much would Juve have to shell out to land Pogba? Rumours suggest it could be in excess of the £89 million which they received for Pogba back in 2016 – if so, Manchester United fans would surely be very happy with that return.
