Italian champions Juventus have completed the signing of Danish international Nicklas Bendtner from Arsenal. The Danish striker had fallen out of favour at the Emirates Stadium and spent last season on-loan at Sunderland. The striker joins the club from Turin on a season-long loan deal.
Bendtner impressed for his national side at Euro 2012 and also attracted the attention of Serie A AC Milan. However, AC Milan turned their attention elsewhere and Juve have stepped-in to capture the striker.
Arsenal are being linked with a loan move for Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien. The Ghana midfielder has struggled to recapture his best form at Stamford Bridge after he suffered two long-term injuries.
However, Essien is now fully-fit and eager to play more first team games this season. The Gunners have a midfielder hole to fill with Alex Song now departed. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to see Essien as an ideal replacement for Song.
