Chelsea’s Ivorian forward Salomon Kalou has insisted that he be given a more central role if he is to stay at Stamford Bridge. Kalou is out of contract at the Bridge in the summer and Italian giants AC Milan have expressed an interest in signing the 26 year old. Kalou seemed resigned to leaving the Bridge after being frozen out by Andre-Villas Boas, but it seems he may yet have a future with the Blues after enjoying a revival in fortunes under new manager Roberto di Matteo.
Kalou has been widely used as a wide player at the Bridge but is keen for a more central role, similar to what Daniel Sturridge wants.
