MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy have rejected a bid from AC Milan to make David Beckham’s loan move permanent. Tim Leuweke, CEO of Galaxy owners AEG said to the LA Times, “We received an offer. It was rejected.” The amount of the bid was not revealed, but is rumoured to somewhere in the region of £6m+.
Beckham has been in fine form after joining Milan on loan and has formed a tentative partnership with Italian playmaker Andrea Pirlo in Milan’s midfield. Beckham was also called up by Fabio Capello last night to England’s squad to play Spain.
Beckham’s loan deal ends on March 9, and Galaxy officials have said that Milan must act quickly if they want to secure the player’s services permanently. The MLS side are believed to be holding out for a fee of £10m+.
