According to morning reports Premier League Liverpool look set to complete the signing of Inter attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho. The Reds have been negotiating with the Italy giants for a couple of weeks now and look to have struck a deal for the highly-rated youngster.
Fellow Premier League team Southampton have also shown an interest, but it appears that the 20 year-old Brazilian would prefer a move to Merseyside. Coutinho has struggled for first team football in Milan.
Although he has stated that he would like to stay with the Nerazzurri and fight for his place it seems that he isn’t in the plans of Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni.
The youngster impressed immensely last season on-loan in La Liga with Espanyol, under new Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino and started to look like the prospect that everybody expected him to be. The youngster is expected to have a bright future in the game.
