English Premier League runners up Liverpool have snapped up youngster Chris Mavinga from Paris St.Germain for an undisclosed fee. Mavinga is a natural left back, but can also play in the centre of defence.
Mavinga joins fellow French youngsters Damien Plessis and David N’Gog at Liverpool. Arsenal were also tracking the progress of the French U-18 international, but the Reds seem to have stolen a march over their rivals.
Meanwhile Moroccan winger Nabil El Zhar has put pen to paper a new contract at Anfield. He is now contracted to the club till 2012.
