Liverpool are believed to be interested in signing Stoke City keeper Asmir Begovic. The Bosnian keeper has been in superb form this season and has helped his team to one of the best defensive records in the top flight.
The 25 year-old is highly-rated and is also believed to be attracting attention from outside the Premier League. Begovic arrived in the Potteries in 2010 from Portsmouth for £3million. He struggled to establish himself in the team at first, but is now undisputed number one at the Britannia Stadium.
Liverpool number one Pepe Reina has struggled for form this season and in recent games has been replaced by understudy Brad Jones. However the Australian isn’t considered a viable long-term option as number one.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers will be given money to spend in the January transfer window to strengthen his squad and could make a move for Stoke’s reliable Bosnian international.
