Newcastle United have announced that they have parted company with Spanish forward Xisco. The striker has left the North East club by mutual consent to join Cordoba in his native Spain. Xisco joined the Magpies from Deportivo La Coruna back in 2008 for a reported £5.7m deal but struggled to settle down on Tyneside and was farmed out on loan, first to Racing Santander and then back to Deportivo.
The 26 year old Xisco has been capped by Spain at U21 level and was touted as one of their best upcoming talents at the time of his transfer to Newcastle.
He made a total of eleven league and cup appearances for the Magpies in his four and a half year stay at the club and last made a senior appearance for them against Aston Villa back in 2010.
