Newcastle could increase their growing number of French players this summer, according to the Sunday Express. Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is believed to have targeted French international duo Andre-Pierre Gignac and Bafetimbi Gomis.
Marseille’s Gignac has attracted the interest of Everton and Liverpool in the past. Gomis meanwhile was a summer transfer target of Swansea, prior to the Welsh club signing prolific striker Wilfried Bony from Vitesse.
Pardew may have to face the headache of replacing striker Papiss Cisse, who does not want to wear the Newcastle kit because the club are now sponsored by controversial loan company Wonga.
