Manchester United’s young Italian striker Federico Macheda has agreed to join Queens Park Rangers on loan. The 20 year old becomes Neil Warnock’s first signing of the January transfer window and will be at Loftus Road till the end of the season.
Macheda has found opportunities limited at Manchester United this season and also had a similar spell with Sampdoria in his native Italy in the 10-11 season.
Macheda was widely linked with a number of Premier League clubs after announcing his readiness to go on loan in order to get more first team football. Wigan Athletic were widely reported to have won the battle for the Italian, best remembered for his debut goal against Villa, last week, but he has now opted to go to Queens Park Rangers.
