Manchester City have finally signed Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City for £60m.
Mahrez handed in a transfer request in the January transfer window but the move never happened because Manchester City and Leicester could not agree on a Fee.
The Premier League champions have returned this summer with a successful £60m bid, and 27-year-old Mahrez put pen to paper on a five-year contract.
The former Leicester winger, scored 13 goals in 41 games for the Foxes last season, and Mahrez said City’s style of play is “perfect” for him.
Mahrez said: – “Pep Guardiola is committed to playing attacking football, and City’s performances last season were outstanding.
“I think we can be successful over the coming years and I believe my own game can develop under Pep’s management.”
