Manchester United have rejected a bid from Premier League rivals Chelsea for the services of England striker Wayne Rooney. The value of the bid has yet to be confirmed, but the Blues were believed to be willing to offer the likes of Juan Mata or David Luiz plus £10million.
Rooney has recently been unsettled at Old Trafford, after handing in a transfer request at the end of last season. Manchester United boss David Moyes has stated that he has no plans to sell the England striker, but speculation over a move is likely to continue over the summer.
