QPR’s versatile Stephane Mbia is being linked with a move to Arsenal this summer. Sky Sports claim that the Cameroon international could remain in the Premier League, after the Hoops were relegated from the top-flight last season.
Mbia is also believed to be attracting the interest of the likes of Swansea and Aston Villa. However, a move to the Emirates would be an attractive one for a player that already lives in London and wants Champions League football next season.
Mbia is one of the highest earners at Loftus Road and the club would be keen to offload his wages ahead of their return to the second tier of English football.
Real Madrid and Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain will finally hold talks with the Gunners after Los Blancos allowed him permission. The two clubs had been in negotiations and it now seems that a compromise has been reached in the striker’s fee, the agreed fee being around £21million.
Meanwhile, the Gunners have allowed young French midfielder Francis Coquelin to join Bundesliga club Freiburg on a season-long loan deal. The 21-year-old is highly regarded in north London and he has made 43 appearances for the Gunners.
