According to reports in Italy, AC Milan are interested in Alexandre Lacazette and will bid for the striker when the transfer window re-opens in January. Lacazette’s contract expires at the end of the current 21/22 campaign and he is yet to ink a new deal at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal are also open to the idea of a sale rather than letting the 30-year-old leave for nothing in the summer.
Lacazette is free to talk to clubs in January, and his agents are already exploring options, as revealed by the forward in a recent interview to French channel Telefoot.
Milan are not the only club monitoring Lacazette’s situation- the forward has been linked to their arch rivals Inter in the past, as well as Spanish sides Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
Lacazette, a Lyon youth product, joined Arsenal in 2017 from Les Gones. In the Gunners’ 13 league games so far this campaign, he’s only been a starter in four, with a further four appearances coming off the bench.
Arsenal are 5th in the table at the time of writing, equal on points with fourth placed West Ham but below them on goal difference, and will face Manchester United in a key league fixture in midweek.
