Everton have completed the signing of Rangers striker Steven Naismith on a free transfer. Naismith, who has put pen to paper a four year contract with the Toffees, was one of several Rangers players who terminated their contract with the Ibrox club and refused a switch of their contracts to the Newco club.
Irvine born Naismith started his career with Kilmarnock and spent four years with them before switching to Rangers in 2007. He had a short trial with Arsenal before his £2m deadline day transfer to the Gers.
Naismith, 25, has also been capped by Scotland at international level.
Toffees manager David Moyes expressed hope that Naismith would fit well into the scheme of things at Goodison Park.
