Sheffield United have accepted a bid for young full back Kyle Naughton from Everton. The Toffees have previously been linked with a £5million bid for the youngster, but the Blades stated at the time that no bid was received.
It looks as if the full back will be moving to Merseyside after receiving permission from his club to discuss personal terms and also have a medical. The 20 year old has made 50 senior appearances for Sheffield United and was part of the side who were defeated in the Championship play-off final against Burnley.
Sheffield United chairman Terry Robinson said: “We have accepted a bid for Kyle, that’s correct.
“The two clubs have been negotiating this last week and we have agreed terms with Everton, but nothing has been agreed with the player.
“We won’t be revealing the amount until any deal is done and our acceptance is conditional on Kyle reaching agreement with them over personal terms.
“It’s a good deal for the player and Sheffield United. We wouldn’t have agreed to it if it wasn’t a good deal for the club.”
Everton have also completed the season-long loan capture of Manchester City striker Jo. The Brazilian has been training with his new teammates ahead of his move and hes now finalised his switch.
